Looks like a private tiff between you and webmasta, if you ask me. Maybe you two need to go seek relationship management counseling.
![]() Or, maybe you both just need to get over it and move on with your forum-going lives I have a degree in RCM. Really. Honest. |

I wouldn't sweat it, sparko. webmasta, like he says himself, gets to the point and doesn't worry about people's feelings. It's just the way he is. He means no offense. He's a good guy nevertheless. So are you. We're all a big, happy DevShed family! HA! Move along, man. No big thing... See you 'round the forums!

chainsaw massacre is about right. i guess we shouldn't expect to have some place where we don't have to put up with other people's sh*t, i mean we don't get enough of that at work

Honestly, you have no idea what verbal abuse is until you've read some of the posts from our brethren at Dev Hardware.
Talk about not pulling the punches, but in fact gluing shards of glass to one's fists and subsequently throwing not just salt, but battery acid into any resulting wounds. We're talking about the difference between a yapping poodle and a pack of large, blood-thirsty rottweilers which have clamped their fangs onto all of your major muscle groups here. Nasty Papercut vs. Vorpal Sword of Immediate and Irreversable Amputation +5. I think you get my meaning. Even Dev Shed's most abusive users look respectable in comparison.

I've heard rumors of the gread freebsd, but he was before my time, and I've not made the effort to look up his proper flames.
But if you want mindless flame drivel, just pick any slashdot article and scroll down. |

I've heard rumors about freebsd also and decided to look some of his threads up. The very first one I chose was indeed a raging fire.
http://forums.devshed.com/showthrea...&threadid=23918 At one point, when asked to be more polite, he even stated: Quote:
Really, webm is a good guy, but I will admit he can be a bit brusque at times. If you can look past that, he will be as good a friend to you as any on this forum. |

Aint sparky cute??
![]() Hey Don... lets try some relationship management and put some things in perspective... no doubt you were killing yourself trying to find a solution to the select box problem... less than 45 minutes after you posted, the solution was sitting on the page... hows that for efficiency? Maybe you didnt kill yourself at all... maybe as soon as you couldnt figure it out you dumped it on devshed, who knows.. Granted it probly took me less than 5 minutes to pump the script that solved your problem, but that comes because I/m a pro, endless hours of research, trial and error and making sure its cross browser,,, whenever I post a script, I test in 4 different browsers, just to make sure its running correct... now you guys benefit from that experience and you dont realise how lucky you are.. when I started as a young code lizard, there wasnt any devshed and help forums,, we learned from doing and remembering. I know youre also a helpful member of devshed and should know better than just ignore someone who took the time to listen to your problem and picnic packed a cut/paste solution... and after being rapped on your knuckles (2 weeks later), had the ballz to say the solution "didnt work, thanks anyway" when it was plain as daylight the solution is correct! Frankly, I could have just ignored you completly while adding you to my ignore list... yes, there is one! ![]() Comon dude, we/re here for the long haul, you erred and was politely chided, pick youself up and pause for a reality check, dont go weeping in the town square... ![]() 'nuff said..

Tara's FP2K thread was priceless. The most entertaining devshed literature I've ever read.
