Thanks for all the spelling / grammer checks Pasiphae much appreciated. The apostrophe problem wasnt down to word, that was me, by using the apostrophe it was preventing my editor highlighting tool working properly, so I changed them to the back tick, I always thought they were the same, but I have now changed them back.

Thanks jpenn, I will let you know

jharnois - Thanks for that, I have added in the apostrophe and corrected the typo.

a.k - Nah I didnt try and register with them, still trying to figure out my problem actually. I thought I had sussed it but it appears that Mozilla doesnt render the form end tag in the same way that IE does in that when used by IE it causes a similar effect to a br tag thus causing some whitespace, but not in Mozilla, there is no whitespace so it doesnt push the page down as far as it does in IE. Still playing, let me know if anyone else has had this problem?

Hey, no problem. I don't want to come off like some prude or anything, they were just some small things I noticed. But like Ctb said, its a really really nice site. It loaded fast, it just looks good in general.

Keep up the good work :-)

I fixed it again :-) Just added an extra div tag around the form seems to do the trick and both browsers are displaying correctly.

After some research it seems that IE was the one at fault for inserting the extra space after a form end tag.

There are some layering problems on the Macintosh (Mac OS X) version of Interent Explorer 5.2.1 (the latest version).

The home page shows the "46 PHP Scripts Listed in 74 Categories" right in the middle of the page... it is on top of the other text.

Do you have any reason to use layers? Why not use more simple HTML since it clearly can acheive the look you seem to be after?...

There is no simpler way to achieve what works in IE and Mozilla on PC, which to be honest with you were my main concern for the immediate launch.

As the project progresses I will be using another forum (No offence :-) and updating / performing more browser checks.

For the moment though I am satisfied with the web site.

What?

Of course there is a simpler way to do this! There is nothing here that can't be done without layers.

Sorry if my saying so is not the response you wanted. If you did not want to hear the truth, then why did you ask for our opinions?

Also, why would you focus only on IE WinDoze? As a PHP resource you should know that majority of the developers are NOT using some other OS.

No offense, but get off the high horse there TommyWillB. Silk set the site up for the majority of the market and is a good way to begin IMHO. Most people that browse the net will do so in either IE, Mozilla or Netscape, the majority being the first. You may not like it, but it is a fact.
There is a point between offering criticism and badgering someone because you didn't like the answer you got.

There is a big diference between saying "I choose not to do this" and "this is not possible".

My point is that is IS POSSIBLE. No high horse, just a fact that there is "simpler way to achieve what works"!

Sorry if that made me sound like a jerk, but maybe it is not actually ME who disliked the answer...
