Slightly OT: internship turns into contract
Hello all,
Sorry if this is too off topic, but I figured many of the folks here might be in a position to answer.
I recently graduated from a technical college and have wrapped up my internship creating a faculty site for using php and mysql for a faculty login and update of the table and a student login to view contact info and proprietary course info (a subdirectory and file read sorted into tables as links).
The internship suffered serious scope creep from a template for non-HTML savvy teachers to the 2 campus deal it has become.
Some of the future tasks discussed are; adding text messaging, a css, user training, technical documentation and online help pages, and setup and population of the production database.
Being new at this, I'd appreciate any suggestions for a price range to expect to fall in, and would I need to propose a time estimate for completion of the above tasks.
BTW, I'm in Virginia but don't expect people to know the going rate for this area, if you could offer what you'd suggest someone in my position could expect in your area I'll do the conversion.
I had no exposure to php or mysql while going to the school and this board was of great benefit to me, thanks for that and I apologize if this was too off topic.
Thanks,
Chris
