>>He had them.
'We know what we sold this mad man when we liked him. ' >>He didn't prove he destroyed them. 'Now we have changed our minds and he won't give us our toys back.' He would not let UN inspectors back in because the US used them as spies last time. Iraq says it used these WMD on Iran. What proof does the US have they did not use them? More importantly why will the US not share this information with UNSCOM / its allies / the public? Is it because they don't want it to become general knowledge WHO sold Iraq these items? >>Do your homework. North Korea. Black market trading is also alive and well in the regime. AFAIK (and could find) that was Iran not Iraq that was sold missile engines by N. Korea. Please post a link (lest we think it a 'half-truths and strawman arguments'). Syrya was mentioned but denys it did. Iraq admitted this illegal import of 130 engines in its most recent declaration, it was not 'discovered'. It has (according to CNN) 24 SCUD's and two long range Russian missiles. Hardly a large threat given the no fly zones, spy planes and sat's trying to spot them before they can get into a firing position. How much VX is outstanding? What other WMD does Iraq have? I can't find this out. I mean there is a HUGE difference between a bottle of nerve gas and a tanker full. >>What exactly is the point in staying when you're only allowed in X, Y, Z place and only then when you're being watched like a hawk by officials? Cripes... sometimes they weren't allowed in certain rooms of the places they WERE allowed in. As they were in fact SPIES for the US.............. (according to their heads Ritter and Butler) They still, according to Ritter destroyed 90% of Iraqs stockpiles of WMD. But this was not what I asked. Are you avoiding the question? Which was ; "cause all I see is media spin. Perfect example is were the inspectors kicked out or withdrew last time?" Butler withdrew them without UN approval after he was told the US was going to bomb. What happened in the US in the next few days after the inspectors withdrew? Clinton was due to be impeached for 'Monicagate' as/so US warplanes bombed Iraq for 4 days.
