suddenly dropped from google

I don't know why but about 50 or so of my company's sites have suddenly been dropped by google. This is not good, especially after the many months spent on some of these sites. According to google there was no misuse of their service on our part.

To make the problem even crazier, most of these sites were dropped as they were removed from our NT box and copied to a slackware/apache box.

I read the if the host machine does not have proper reverse dns setup search engines will drop all site on that machine. But our reverse dns is working just fine.

Some of the sites in question do have robots.txt files with empty disallow paramaters and the rest do not contain any robots.txt files at all.

Looking at the access logs, i do see the google spider requesting the robots.txt file but then there are no subsequent requests.

I really don't know what to do about this. Any ideas welcome.

Idea? Try resubmitting your URL again or fix something with your meta tag/s.

Other than this... follow Master Sepodati's idea. ^_^ Cheers!
