Thumbs up Thank You!! and Keep up the very good work!!

Hi to all admins and members

I'm very glad that I stumbled into this site. Reading the different forums and threads really added to my little computer knowledge.

I just feel that at least by a simple THANK YOU!!! I would be able to give something in return to the information that all of you had shared to me.B]

It's a great place, I think my first 100 posts were all requesting some sort of help - so I turned that around literally because I got much of the knowledge I needed here.

I can't believe I never noticed this thread before. I spend most of my time in the Perl, Java, JavaScript, MySQL, and Linux forums. A big thank you to jharnois, Kravvitz, KevinADC, ishnid, LinuxPenguin, and Scorpions4ever for the help! Also a big thank you goes out to sizablegrin for the excellent information and advice on batteries he gave me today!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. And a very special thanks to Jeremy for maintaining Devshed and making it possible.
I was just reading this thread for fun. I can't believe I got a mention. With all the asking I do around here, it seems like the minor, minor help I can give is far outweighed by the great info and help I've received!

I'd like to thank whoever banned Torvalds.

He was an obvious troll, and very narrow-minded.

I would like to thank the newcomers who post in the C Programming forums who actually read the "How to post a question" topic. They make helping them SO much easier than they think.

I thank the rookies who compel my writing to improve.

    ---

    Edit for ManiacDan:

It's more poetic to say the writing itself is compelled, instead of the author; the implied dichotomy thus credits writing to something or someone outside the author, much like the classical works inspired by the Muses. It's an old tradition, but a respected one. Your version does work and is also correct, though it sounds laborious or clumsy. Literary devices FTW!

    /bombastic, haughty drivel

Promise me I'll never have to sound like a dipsh!t again :|
