England loose in belfast
 the odds where 14-1 that would have been big money.........Erickson does he have a future.... The team doid not perform again, looked like Rooney was the only one who cared about it..... -edit- Aitken u beat me to it....

idiots all of em...<fume>
 ... had to eat a lot of crap from people who support other teams ... the french support was especially nice to me after this game  whats wrong with all these guys.. on any given day if they play to half their potential they should have whipped these guys

What a tremendous night last night was! Fantastic performance by Scotland and Northern Ireland. People will be on here slating the English style of play, but credit must go to Northern Ireland, they played really well and England had very few chances. Just goes to show what an organised team can do for you. The English looked all over the shop, Rooney is a liability and needs to do some growing up.

The midfield just looked lost, they werent a unit, beckham has to play on the right. I think sven should have had Richardson on the bench, his energy would have given england a boost, instead of brininging on hargreaves (he is a good player - but the situation didn't require him0 and Kirean would have offerd more going forward.

Scott Parker should be central midfield with Becks. Owen up front
with Wayne just behind him. Wright Phillips on the right and Bridge [when he's fit again] on the left. Neither Lampard nor Gerrard are doing enough to warrant inclusion in the team imo.

I agree, Frank's well off the mark this season - a shame the boss can't see it. You'd put Parker on instead of Cole? ...there's a thought, using Cole as a sub would work for me... but I have to say that I would definitely keep Gerard on in favour of Bridge (albeit, Bridge would be a top sub). But I think the real point is, look at all our best XI's and they the vast majority of us would pick the team that played last night - just in the correct positions
