what a dagger by Robben. Just when the French climb back in it with a beauty of their own!

Roger Milla (just looked it up) and 1990 while the Nigerians did get through in 1994 but lost 2-1 to Italy on a penalty by Baggio in 102nd minute. I started watching in '82. I've only recently started watching Euro. Fun to watch. I watch NCAA basketball tournament in March each year and those are my regular doses of football and basketball for me. Still really enjoy them. |

So Spain have made it.
Pretty good last night or were Russia just pants? Fabregas was very good again. Would be nice to see the perennial underachievers achieve this time ![]()

Haven't been watching Euro except for Germany-Turkey and Spain-Russia, but from what I saw Russia looked like they were going to be rolled over from the start.
I'm also excited to see a Germany-Spain final. rooting for Germany all the way.

I thought Russia looked dangerous in all games they played, except last night's game. They didn't look the same team, for me anyway.
Taking nothing away from Spain though, was a cracker of a result. Should be a good game on Sunday and as a neutral, I hope to be in the pub to watch it! ![]()

I think on set pieces the Germans all thought their peers were 12' tall otherwise why fire the ball that high? Did they even get their heads on the ball once?
Nice goal by Torres. Was hoping that Germany were to tie it up though. C'mon 2010! I won't be watching footie again until then to be honest. Back to hockey for me. |

Yeah their set-pieces, which had been the difference against Portugal, really were dreadful. Three different kickers (Schweinsteiger, Hitzlsperger and Frings) couldn't get a decent ball in. They had a huge height advantage over Spain which they just didn't use. Given that it only finished 1-0 (somehow, as Spain were vastly superior in almost every way), they really could have given the Spanish quite a scare. Quote:
Typical Torres goal. Absolutely brilliant. Looking forward to more of the same for Liverpool next season. Can't wait!

Fantasy Premier League has opened its door again.
Seems that the leagues need to be created again. I will do this later, unless Bainser wants to do it, but you can at least set up your teams now ![]() http://fantasy.premierleague.com/ Posted by the undisputed champion of the Irn Brundesliga ![]() |
