I just made a milestone today.

After years of having windows as my only operating system I decided to format my laptop and
am now running on Linux for the very first time: Ubuntu.

It rocks.

Took the wife for an ultrasound yesterday. It's a... we're waiting until [s]he's born to find out! This means that there will be less than two years between the kids, and I'm not even through with university yet...

AS of right now, I have topped a milestone. Not saying this is a good milestone whatsoever.

I have topped 3000 viruses on my home computer as of now.. I'm downloading AVG right now. Anyone else can beat 3000? (This all happened in a matter of 3 minutes). My old record was 58.

<edit>Would like to say the virus number has topped 100000 102536 to be exact. Time to chuck it out.</edit>

In college I worked for the campus network. We had a PC come where you could just watch a virus replicate itself on the machine. It would create new copies faster than our AV software could remove them.

To fix the machine, I had to rig an up-to-date dos version of the scanner that I could put on a bootable CD, so we could run the scanner without starting the infected operating system.
