"The Recruit"
Who has seen this movie? I just rented yesterday, and now I'd say it's one of my favs. I mean, it really makes you think. It was especially interesting because next year I plan on interning w/ the CIA
![]() I dunno why I'm so obsessed w/ staying with the government....just something about it. I can see myself here at NASA, CIA, or NSA sometime in the future. Even if it's doing something menail and pointless :O) |

I saw it, it was pretty good. Though, I'm pretty sure that CIA internships aren't quite like that.

I saw it and enjoyed it. "Spy Game" is another recent CIA kind of movie that was pretty good. Alas, it's all just entertainment and I doubt anything the industry can produce is anywhere close to the truth. I bet you read Tom Clancy, too?

I liked "Spy Game". And I've read every Jack Ryan and John Clark book by Clancy (none of those 'OpCenter' or 'NetForce' ones though, I don't think much of them)

I'm about the same, but I could get more than 30 pages into the new one. I've read more lively stuff since I went on my big clancy binge and couldn't get through the page upon page of long descriptive paragraphs. Something in the debt of honor/executive orders range was about the best.
Right now I'm trying to find the 4th book in the ender's game series, and am contemplating starting dune. A bit different, but what the heck. To try and throw back towards topic, "Sneakers" is another cool movie. Not quite directly CIA-related, but kind of the same subject matter. |

I have to find the 2nd Ender book still (stupid library). Dune is good, but long and strange, and the sequels are not as good. Wheel of Time cycle is also good.
I haven't seen "Sneakers". "Our Man Flint" was a good spy movie spoof. Conspiracy/spy movies are my favorites ![]() |
