i am sorry, i suck at explaining this
allow me to keep this simple enough for my poor writting skills the affilate of topclicks.net not topclicks.net might have broken the law (fraud) the topclicks.net adware crap didnt (it just sucks) everyones internet didnt break the law (they just suck for reasons stated to many times already) rackshack didnt break the law (they just suck) i dont route their ip's unless their is a bussiness reason, last time i checked thats not breaking the law i am saying due to their behaviour i PERSONALY think others could do the world and theirselves a favor by not routing their subnets. if you have need for a site their ips are involved in fine open it up but only as much as needed. also part of the behavior i am describing isnt adware its done with dns. how to know if its the affiliate or if its topclicks.net, the affiliate uses an ip that starts with 64 while the real topclicks.net uses a much higher number (216 if i remember correct). also the topclicks adware problem dosnt redirect whole networks like the affilate. reading the problems reported on the internet shows the affilate is doing something else that redirects all traffic using what appears to be dns cache posioning. and he has email servers responding to the queries he is causing. this is mutliple problems caused by diffent things but they all have ip's owned by ev1.net and i do believe that the person running the site that was at 64. will be talking to law inforcement in the near future. |

I can - they ****ed up. But later they have admitted that. USD$100 billion later, to be precise. altlewis, ev is ran by hundreds if not thousands of people. IMO, your argument doens't scale - it's like going to worldcom and telling them to stop spam because it's sent thru their networks. Good luck with trying to influence them though.

That's more or less what I'm thinking about the ev1.net thing. I wandered around for awhile trying to make the same connections you did, but all I came up with were some indirect links between the topclicks /jackass(es)?/ and ev1.net. I don't think they can really be held responsible for what's being done. What we need is some competent lawmakers to actually make this sort of BS illegal - i.e. FRAUD. THEN folks like ev1 will have to toss the bums.... unfortunately, then the bums will just start using servers in the "lawless countries" where they can still get away with it....

i hope i dont seem an unrealistic asshole...
i am not sure if your saying my expection of their response to one of their customers hacking other peoples networks is none scalable or if my ideal to not route ip's they own and you dont need? |
