Unknown Error in event log - possible red flag
I am curious if anyone knows what this error is under windows 2000 server.

IIS or PWS?
That's a value from a web server environment variable called APPL_MD_PATH
Are you running IIS or Personal Web Server? Anyway, that's where it comes from. I don't use IIS, but I imagine it's getting into your event logs through IIS (ie., errors on IIS). Best, nao
