Hello!
As many of you know, it is often useful/necessary/good to point ppl to the doc page for a specific PHP function. So far, it can be done by either posting something like Quote:
Quote:
While the first way expects the reader to know how to access the PHP docs and to type the full url in a browser, the second is work for the writer, since even after lots of training the [ url] tag and the address are not really short. So - if there is not a more comforable way I do not know and it's not too much trouble to implement - I'd like to suggest a tag, in the following example called [pd] which makes Quote:
Quote:
What the tag does is just prepending the text enclosed by it with "http://www.php.net" and putting the resulting URL into a [ url] tag or a HTML anchor (depends on how vB code is processed), which replaces the tag. Since I have no access to vBulletin code, I do not know whether such a feature would be hard to implement.

I don't think it would be BIG deal at all.
Question would be to get the code, modify it and put it back on the Devshed. Hm... Anyone listening ? JD
