Video Editing
Hello everyone.
Dont think their is a better area to put this so.. I was working on editing the video clips we recorded from our last lan war, and ive run into a snag. Windows Movie maker kinda sucks heh.. It doesnt do what i want it to. I know Adobe Premiere is out there, but thats a bit more (ok way more) than i need a video editor to do (plus its 800 bucks). What im looking for is a video editor that will let me pull a clip, and copy it into a new video. (copy it, not cutting it). I have all the time frames that i want to pull out and put into one stream movie, but the only way WMM will let me do it (that i can find) is to cut it out, which resets the time index, and f***s up the rest of my time frames that i want to pull, making them worthless. And i dont want to go back though the 3 hours of video just to pull clips.. Anyone know of any software that can do this? Thanks. |

VirtualDub, make xvid's with it, forget wmv
Also when you want to splice parts from one into another, you can do it a few ways. If your editor supports it just copy, but if not, copy the physical file, then cut it from one put it into the new one, delete that copy restore from the backup. Repeat for all time frames you want.

yea, thats too much of a pain in the ***. I have 6 videos, that are 30 minuets each, it would take me like a week to do it that way. Ill check out VirtualDub tho. Thanks Just got it, and it wont open the AVI files. :\ they don't appear to have codes on their site to convert either. Last edited by Lyian : April 23rd, 2008 at 01:19 PM. |

avi's have many formats, they could be xvid's divx's wmv's etc...
anyways that's good as long as it's working. |
