Question Wanted: Web Business Mentor :)

    Hey Guys,

I've got an "on the side" web design firm with a couple of others that I'm almost ready to make the leap with to go full time.

I'm wanting to get hold of someone in the biz that has experience managing the firm - I've just got a few questions that I'd like to bounce via e-mail.

Mainly to do with organisational / contractual / management type things like document management, version control, basically a "when do you do this, why and how?" conversation.

If anyone is keen to lend their experience / advice, especially from the running a successful web company point of view, I'd really appreciate it.

Please flick me an e-mail or reply here.

    Thanks very much in advance!

    Hi,

Well, to be honest I doubt you will find to many people willing to give up their time, running a business is a very hard work and leaves you little time for much else, trust me I run 3.

Your best bet would be to go to www.freelancers.net and sign up to their e-mail forum, there are hundreds of business owners on the mailing list and questions regarding how business should be run, where when and how to do X, come up all the time, sign up with them and you will get some answers to your questions as and when you need them.

dotproject is a decent tool for keeping you organized as well.

It still has a few bugs but is under active development at present.
