Web Content Management software
Howdy,
At my company we use Frontier 5.1.6 as our web content management software. It was set up by my predecessor in order to give our site an overall look and pattern to it (naturally). Its a powerful program but I was wondering if anyone familiar with Frontier could tell me: A: Is it a common program and would it be worth it to upgrade to v7.1 making more userfriendly? B: Are there any other WCM programs out there that are not so bulky i.e. scriptheavy that anyone could recommend? I realize the importance and necessity of scripts and all that, its just not my strong point, YET. I'm working on it Any suggestions? Comments? Nitz |

I have been just able to convince my MNC company that use Mamboserver as intranet site.
Check it at http://www.mamboserver.com . I am sure you would like it. I HIGHLY recommend it. Among others are PHP - Nuke, its really popular and very good one. Also I find geeklog, [ http://geeklog.sourceforge.net ] to be really very good. These 3 things i have tried and they are amongst the best, now choice is yours !! ![]() JD

I've worked with Frontier/Manila and I've found it to be really great. I'm sure that the upgrade would be worth it.
As for other suggestions, I'd recommend Zope, possibly in conjunction with CMF. Zope (without CMF) is what DevShed.com uses for it's content management. It is a very powerful piece of software, but has a very steep learning curve.
