Question why no posting ?
Every time here I saw dozens of guys in the forum(yes, it is "dozens of" without counting the amount of guests) but we could see just a few new posts for such long period. Is there any rules prevent posting ?

As far as I am aware there is only one rule when it comes to posting and that is you can only post once in any 60 second period, if you attempt to post twice within this time limit the server will stop you and state this fact.

Unless of course you have been blocked by moderators.

Another reason for why you don`t see so many postings is because regular members such as myself, Onslaught, AlCapone, Nox, rod k etc will open up the forum and reply to some questions to help people and when we are done we will leave our browser open, perhaps to wait for a response from someone about the help we have given or just waiting for another question to arise while we get on with other stuff elsewhere.

Ummm actually it's been quite active, it has been through months when we only get one or two new questions posted a day, at the moment it is much higher than that and has been for a while.

It seems like it gets more/less active with school and season changes.

A lot of times I will open up two seperate tabs in my browser, one for devshed and the other for other research I am looking into, so as Silky pointed out, it will appear that some people are there that really aren't.

On a totally off-topic note, anyone checked out Mozilla 1.1 yet?

I've been meaning to wander to Mozilla 1.1, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I guess I like Mozilla 1.0 so much I see no reason to upgrade.... though, I really do need to get it for development testing nonetheless...

Board stats
I have some stats for you all about these boards (for those that are interested).

In the past 3 months, we've had anywhere between 115 to 454 posts a day, average is around 275 a day.

In the same period we've had 23 to 94 new threads a day, with the average around 50 a day.

Also in the same period, we've had 1941 new members.
