I am a Mozilla die-hard. My wife, on the other hand, has always refused to use anything but IE. However, she constantly complained about all the pop-up ads. Despite me explaining that, if she used Mozilla, she wouldn't have to deal w/ annoying pop-ups anymore, she didn't want to switch... she was 'used' to IE.

So, I did what any good husband should do in this situation: I installed Mozilla on her computer, changed the 'Target' on her IE link the Quick Launch Bar to point to Mozilla, and installed an IE-look-alike skin on Mozilla.

Now, she still thinks she's using IE, but doesn't complain about the pop-ups anymore.

You know thats a really good idea... since people want their OS just like Windows, design a new environment (like KDE/GNOME) that looks very similar and integrate Wine into it so they can open .exe's and that would provide them with a familiar interface, with superior reliability and for free. If manafacturers would go along, they'd save money, their products would become cheaper, and Micro**** would become confined to the people that accept their propaganda and those manafacturers that refuse to give it up.

Yeah Walmart is shipping PC's with Lindows pre-installed. There really is nothing wrong with a company trying to make money, they have done heaps of work on the project.
