I wish life were ideal, so I do my best to bring it as close as possible.... but I never get lost in it, I remain focused on reality (and trolling).....

I'd say I'mn a realist with idealistic tendencies. I like to look forward to how good things might turn out, but when they don't turn out how I expect, my realist side takes over to accept the results.

I think there are certain levels to idealists, and as I grow older, even though I still consider myself to be one, there are simply some things you are going to need to compromise on or die.
Yes, the world is cruel for an idealists. No matter how many others they run into who are also idealists, they will always be alone.

I'm a stubborn realist, but I value the idealists more than other realists. Why?

If we were all realists, society would just befall some great slippery slope into oblivion. It's idealists and the formation of idealistic ideas that bouy our society and provide possibility for progress;in turn, creating the reality people like me can trust and forecast.

I'm I looking at this wrong, or....?

I am subconsciously idealistic about some things and realistic about other things. Very often my idealism works against me: people see it as naivete.
But it's my skepticism that keeps me balanced...I wish to think...
