    Didn't see the video.

We have two cats. One female siamese (spell?) that my wife had before we got married. The other we got as a wedding gift from my best man... with our permission of course They are both very unique cats.

I have no cats. Cats act like it's a privelege for you to be able to feed them.

I prefer dogs. Every dog that I have had looks at me is if I am a god, and all they want is a bit of food and on occasion some chew toy, and you'll know you have someone there for you. My current dog is extremely lazy, I have no idea how she is still able to walk. She's cool though, and she does get pretty defensive of me when someone appears threatening.

I have two adorable cats. One is a turtle-shell coloured American Bobtail (she is not a manx), the other is a grey tabby who likes to talk a lot. My ex-girlfriend called her the "Phyllis Diller of cats."

As to why I choose cats over dogs, and mind you this is only opinion, it comes down to an issue of intelligence. Cats seem to learn st*ff, while dogs always seem to have this look on their face that says "durrr, I'm a dog hyuck!"

Randomish factoid: cats are one of very few animals which can see in colour. Dogs cannot.

Yes. At least it will love me and not try to kill me when I pick it up without it asking. My dog is 40-50 pounds, and I can lift her up any time I want to. She doesn't care really.

My cat shows plenty of affection; she just does it with some dignity.

Actually, I like both (if the dog's big, like a dobie or rott -- I don't like small dogs). Cats are soft and graceful with a certain predatorial attitude I respect. Dogs are energetic and fun. I don't have a dog, though -- I live in an apartment, and I refuse to get a dog if I can't provide a yard.

No, somewhere for them to to get fresh air and run around. If they
crap there, then they crap there; but you can't keep a dog shut in
a house all day, only taking it out for a walk...

Cats are not evil unless they've been neglected.

My cat can be demanding, but really all it takes is a few minutes of lap time and she'll mind her business and let me tend to mine.

Of course she has a thing for jumping on my stomach at 3:00AM, but I'd rather it be a 10lb cat than a 100lb dog

Cats are great companions for us city dwellers. They are low maintenance, don't cost much to feed and take to the vet, and best of all they don't bark.

Mine likes to play patty-cake, too

Plus if they fall out the window and fall three stories, they're completely uninjured (which is good, because just about every cat I know has had this or a similar experience).

They also keep the rodent population down. Although the dog helps to keep undesirable humans away.
