The International Obfuscated C Code Contest (IOCCC). If you think your just looking at a crap program with bad coding style look again. Just focus and "you will find illumination!" It is a complete C program that runs and compiles that generates ASCII 3D "Magic Eye" images.

    Holy sweetness! Awesome

I didn't know that kind of thing was possible -- I thought it had to have special printed layers and specifiz fuzzy colors or whatnot. Just ASCII.... nice

The difference is, I actually did see it. If you're having trouble, print it out first, that's what I did.

So the program doesn't run at all?

it compiles just fine, you just need the Makefile

Yeah, I agree. Especially the way he was dressed in 'The Empire Strikes back with Yoda's granny and a big stick'.

its not hard, the Makefile just contains the compile command, and if you look at it there are a few standard files included using the command line, that's why you can't get it to compile, you could also just run this command (that's what the Makes file does)

    Code:
    gcc -ansi -O2 herrmann2.c -o herrmann2 -include /usr/include/stdlib.h -include /usr/include/stdio.h -include /usr/include/time.h -include /usr/include/unistd.h
