My current favorite is Battlefield 2142. I mostly play strategy games but months of trying (and failing) to get my head around Supreme Commander killed the fun for me.

I don't want to choose 1 favourite game right now, so here is what I am currently playing:

    On the PC:

    Civ 4: Colonization
    Fallout 2
Witcher Enhanced (haven't actually installed this yet!)
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky (hmm I don't really like it)
    Civ 4: Beyond The Sword
    XCOM Terror From The Deep

Went a bit retro crazy recently.

From this month I suspect I will be playing more 360 games:

    Far Cry 2
    Fallout 3
    Fable 2
    Dead Space
    Left For Dead
    Gears of War 2

I like to see how many times I can bounce a ball in a day and then try to break that record.

I used to love hex editing my XCom save files and giving myself mega bases, insane weapon stocks and personel with super stats. XCom Apocalypse kinda nailed that though since the alien menace adjusted itself to your current tech and personel level. Ever play the email version? You had to install this small game client and then when you make your move it would email your opponent and they would see the move played out on their client. Was really cool but they shut the project down after a while due to the low level of interest vs their server costs.

There is a free open source version of Xcom, that is still very actively developed http://ufoai.sourceforge.net/

Back on topic - I think my favourite game of all time must be either Baldur's Gate or Deus Ex.

Just read that Deus Ex 3 is in development - it's a prequel and it's more like Deus Ex 1 than Deus Ex 2.
