Doing More With phpMyAdmin (Part 1)
Doing More With phpMyAdmin \(Part 1\)
"You might not know this, but you can do a lot more with phpMyAdmin than just create tables and insert records. This first in a two-part series takes a look at some of the other features hidden under the hood of this popular PHP application, explaining how it can be used to secure access to the MySQL server, manage multiple servers, manipulate user privileges, view reports on server activity, and export MySQL data into different formats." Im having some problems with PHPMyAdmin.
I changed the auth type to http, as it recommends in the tutorial, following all the steps, but when i go to login, it displays the login box fine, but when i enter username and password, they dont work. The username and password are fine because i can connect using them on command line. Any ideas on what the prob might be? If it's any help, after i enter the uname and password, when it re-displays the prompt, it puts 'fatmcgav/' infront of the username - fatmcgav being the name of the pc. I am runnin IIS5.1, latest php and mysql and phpmyadmin, on Win XP Pro. Thanks for any info. Fatmcgav |
