What should I do with XML ?

Maybe I am a stupid one, but I can figure out where should I use this XSI, XML, XSL, Xxxx...

I don't see any practical value in it ...

It is a great article and I can follow it easy .... but I think you should show us a practical example of using it .... and it should be better than classical relational database approach ...

How do I store this XML's in the database and why should I do it ?

I am sure that this complexity isn't just for fun, but I don't get it :)
