    RE : SSL & Name-based Virtual Hosts

    According to this message and the apache faqs it is really not possible to use the same ip for virtual hosting and/with ssl.
    This is acctually not true i did it.
    In my httpd.conf file below my

    NameVirtualHost ipaddres
    <VirtualHost ipaddres:80>
    .
    .
    ServerName first.domain
    <VirtualHost ipaddres:80>
    ServerName second.domain
    .
    .
    I added a line after these virtual hosts settings
    NameVirtualHost ipaddres:443 - with the same ip as the above(firt) one, after this directive you shoud add again the virtual host information as the one wich is for port 80 but now except it include the SSl directives for each virtual host.
    It works fine with me
    If you have questions ask ;)

    RE : SSL & Name-based Virtual Hosts

    It works, however it is not possible (or at least I did not manage) to assign separate certs for each of the vhosts. I did what you wrote, however, all my SSL-vhosts used the certs of the first one (and thus bringing up that annoying name mismatch dialog). Is there a solution for this issue, or it is just a half-working workaround? I would be glad to have your comment, if it is working clean for you.

    Have a look at the FAQ again:

    Getting More Out Of Apache \(Part 1\)

    While the default Apache configuration is good enough for most Web applications, there's a lot more under the hood of the planet's most popular Web server. In this article, find out how to create virtual hosts on a single Web server, and use Server-Side Includes for greater flexibility in your HTML pages.

    Please discuss this article in this thread. You can read the article here .
