Really bad article
I've started exploring using Mambo for a nonprofit for which I do free consulting.
Mambo seems powerful and easy to use.
This article is extremely weak.
First, the author indicates that PHP is thought of as being prehistoric, without backing up that opinion. Who thinks PHP is prehistoric?
If some people feel that PHP is not appropriate for certain tasks, I doubt that their reason is that it is written in C, as the author states.
Also, why does the author state that ASP costs an arm and a leg? ASP requires IIS (or ChiliSoft) and that alone is a legitimate reason for many to reject use of ASP--along with lots of other concerns. But I've always found that ASP is 'free' once you accept those limitations.
For anyone interested in comparing various CMS's, one good resource is URL That site limits itself to open source CMS's written in PHP/MySQL. They have installed a large number of such systems on their system, and you can log in on as Administrator on each system using their server--you can give each a test run without installing on your own server.
