Great tutorial, I had no problems with it. Terrific for people just starting out.

I thought the subject was about \"how to link HTML forms to DB?\". I did not find any of this info there so ANY IDEAS WHERE TO FIND IT?

I'm probably just as much of a newbie as anyone else reading this tutorial, but I'd think you'll probably have to use a CGI script to input the data... there are plenty of free CGI script sites to help ya out

I had similar problems. When i downloaded mysql and unzipped it.

I tried to install it and couldn't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know the correct way to do it. It was just an accidental discovery. What I did was I install the WinMySQLadmin (mysqladmin.exe can be found under mysql/bin directory - if you're using windows). You can check info in WINMYSQLADMIN.HLP on how to istall. When installation is done, the easiest way you can do is to restart your computer. When you restart you'll see an icon (looks like a traffic light) on the windows taskbar. If it shows green light it means the server is up. Then you can go to mysql/bin and run mysql.exe file. Hope this help. Good luck!

My question is this.

How was the join table (table.status) created with MySQL code? Currently in MySQL the reference command is not supported.

Is it possible to create a functioning joining table using MySQL code only? Or do I have to find a way to enable SQL commands?

I no longer need an answer for my previous question. Though others may, so please feel free to answer if you know how too.

I got around the problem by creating an interface that allows an end user to add data to the joining table on there own rather then doing it automatically. This works for me as not every trainee will be assigned to every course.
