    How do I implement this?

    How can I add "Talk to me" to my news page? This is what I have. I am getting these 2 variables from the MySQL database, and they are displayed on the web page, as you can see below. What is confusing me is the $section and $article part.
    <br />
    <br />
    <?
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    <br />
    $SQL = &quot; SELECT comments, created FROM news &quot;;
    <br />
    $SQL = $SQL . &quot; ORDER BY created DESC LIMIT 6&quot;;
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    <br />
    $result = mysql_db_query($db, $SQL, $mysql_link);
    <br />
    <br />
    if (!$result)
    <br />
    {
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; echo( mysql_error());
    <br />
    }
    <br />
    else
    <br />
    {
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result))
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;{
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;$commen ts= $row[&quot;comments&quot;];
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;$create d= $row[&quot;created&quot;];
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;echo (&quot;$created&quot;);
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;echo(&quot ;
    $comments&quot;);
    <br />
    &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;} #while
    <br />
    } # if
    <br />
    mysql_close($mysql_link);
    <br />
    ?>

    Re: Generating Article ID's

    why not create the article id based on authors name? so the author logs in, his first article is todd1, second is todd2, todd3, etc.

    andrea logs in hers are andrea1, andrea2, etc.

    or did i miss something, like the article id needs to be more complex?

    todd.

    undefined variable

    using the trick with
    Code:
    if ($submit) {
    I always get an "undefined variable : submit" error.

    Anybody has any idea on what it means ?
