    Re: Small program using whois2

Like I said, I'm willing to give it away, and yes I am parsing to code into a custom results page.

If you want it however I really need an email or public ftp to send it to for you. you can email me at tom.poole@breathe.com anytime and I will reply and send you the code.

I will be hosting the zip file shortly so people will be able to just download it if they want it.

    Re: mistake

I know... I never stated that all this code was my own... it is a sample of using the PHPWhois code found on this site because (being new to PHP when I DL'd it) it made no sense... so I want to offer it to other developers having problems...

If anyone needs their names adding to contributing to this code then just add it... if I can prove different obviously I will but I won't be putting much effort into it because I know that I am just using the PHPWhois code.

    Very nice!

I'd love this class, how come I haven't discovered it sooner (but also a good thing is to know it after the buggy time!) :)

    Great job!

    only Checking

I just need to check if a domain is available or not (I don't need it to return me all the information, I am making a program that generates names and checks if they are available, and the script continue to exceed time limit.
I was trying to change the code, and it seems that the whole lookup function is running in a recoursion, I need to "catch" it before it takes all the information about the whois.
any help will be more than helpfull.

Re: New URL to DL whois2 example

Due to the ammount of emails that I was recieving with regards to this file I have uploaded it to the following URL for people to download it.

    http://www.hexreign.com/downloads/dsearch.zip

Thanks to everyone for taking an interest, I'll be editing a new version soon due to some bugs that have been pointed out during the commercial use of this program... (mainly the fact it allows the registration of sub domains!)

You can still email me with any questions.

    Tom
