    Good article

    I don't use perl much anymore (moved on to PHP and Java) but it's always good to brush up on the basics. This was as good an explanation as I've seen for my() and local(), thanks.

    Good, but ...

    Covering material on how to use perl is not why I came to devshed. This information is already covered in perl references. I like the way you presented but I came looking for stuff that isn't covered in default material. Like how to integrate perl, mysql and Apache into a dynamic web site. Common issues like what others have encountered trying to access db's from perl. Commonly used methods to achieve a certain task with perl and [insert favorite SQL db].
    <br>
    However, I will be back to read more perl articles. :^)

    Incorrect (sort-of)

    Greetings,

    This example is great for input, however the editors should not note the fact that, atleast in I.E. 5.0, <STDIN> is not displayed as it is interpreted as an invalid HTML code, and therefore ignored.

    Routines as own standards libraries

    Routines used in others .PL file.
    <br>
    How could it reuse again in my.PL file?.
    <br>
    Are there any way to link between *.PL file?.
    <br>
    <br>
    Cheers,

    Thanks for all perl articles, up to this one they're all informative and entertaining, I didn't think I could learn perl in 2 days.

    fontsize

    Excellent tutorial, it's just that the font used for the examples is a bit small. Difficult to read...
