Accounting software

could some people please recomend good software to use for accounting purposes. i tried the trial version of quickbooks, i like how you can put in everything and it can make cool reports of your input. the thing is it's a little too full featured. i need something for a more basic small businesss where ill just need to put in my income and expenses and stuff to be able to track the items you sell to analyze what products do better etc would be good too.

im thinking this is probally something i could just do on a spreadsheet program also. isn't there a mozilla version of excel? (i like to use mozzila products over MS products becasue i already use a number of mozilla products and their usualy compatible with eachother etc)
