Best E-Commerce Platform for multiple store support
What's the best e-commerce platform (preferably open source but commercial products if they're really good) for supporting multiple stores e.g. building a site like etsy.com?

WebSphere Commerce, definitely not open source, and expensive though. However, it is one of best.
There is no problem to hold more than thousand stores.
