In notepad. I still don't see a Go To in the edit menu. And ctrl g doesn't work on a win 98 2nd edition machine. I dunno what you're looking at. Inside my notepad edit menu, I have..
Undo
Cut
Copy
Paste
Delete
Select All
Time/Date
Word Wrap
Set Font
And that's it...

Yikes - you don't even have a Find function. Seriously - get yourself a decent editor.

Wow!
Ok, it's December now, and the last post here was in September--but I still can't believe how long this thread stayed alive.
I posted in this thread in 2001 and talked about how I still use Windows at home (instead of Linux) because I liked Textpad and thought Netscape sucked. Now, I hardly ever touch a Windows system. I either use gedit or Zend Studio for coding, and Mozilla is miles beyond IE in terms of standards support. What changes a few years can bring.
The real question is, how much longer will this thread stay alive now that I've bumped it again? ;-)

Why pay money for an editor?
Vim is free and better than the rest. Use it, or loose it

why pay money for an editor? i'll gladly pay money for an editor that implements features that i need to get my job done faster, more effciently... anything that saves me time is worth paying for, as long as the cost is reasonable for the features implemented.

How many times is this going to be brought back to life?!?
This horse has been beaten so many times that it is just a rug carpet now.
