Bulk and Quick mailing solution required...

Hi!

We have to send around 50K or more emails at a time to our clients. Right now we have a linux box with apache and php and mysql installed on it and we use the sendmail component of linux to send bulk mails.

Due to sendmail's restrictions we have to send around 500 to 1000 mails per half n hour. If we try to send more then the mailbox gets blocked and sendmail then starts bouncing back most of the mails. Hence it takes us hours to finish one email shot.

I would like to know is there any effective solution to this problem.

I did hear about qmail but am not yet clear about its functionality. If qmail is good then is there any mail broadcasting system or program which would send out the emails using the qmail component on the server. How should i go about installing qmail and the program to send emails through the same.

Any other ideas other than qmail and sendmail would be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Hitendra

I've been using Netscape Messaging System, and never had any problems. All though, I've never spamed either!
