CMS starter
I am trying to provide visitors to my site an update facility so I need a CMS. I have Contribute which is a client side CMS but I do not think there are any open source client only versions out there?
Where can I go to read about how these CMSs actually work in concept? Do they require permission from the host provider to have them work on the server? I like to build modular and do not have the time to learn PHP etc. Where can I make a comparison between the best and mature open source CMS's? Do they have user friendly GUIs? |

try www.opensourcecms.com they have a rating list for CMSs. They are easy to set up and maintain with little or no php knowledge.
http://www.opensourcecms.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=388&Itemid=143 It depends on what you want - if you want your users to be able to post a lot of stuff then I'd go with Drupal - if you simply want a normal CMS to post content I'd go with Joomla. |

wordpress is great for small business / personal. I'd recommend joomla for anything else.
