Content Management Systems Training

Can anyone in the UK recommend a good online (or offline) training course in using Content Management systems?

I am a recent postgraduate who has undertaken some training in HTML/XHTML/CSS as part of my course. I feel fairly confident with creating web pages using note pad and have achieved top grades for all my websites.

However, many of the jobs I am applying for at the moment require experience in using content management systems.

Could anyone in the UK enlighten me as to the most heavily used of these systems? particularly in government departments? I am very much in the dark. I am aware of DreamWeaver and FrontPage.

Also, please could you recommend a suitable course that I could undertake (preferrably in a short space of time, about a month? and a low cost if possible!) that would demonstrate my ability and impress potential employers?
