How to diable files inside FTP folder to be open?
I have a FTP access to the server where many people can access. Is there anyway to prevent people to download my file from the FTP .
The reason for me is to not allow people to view the codes inside my file.
Is there any method to disable the user to open the files once they downloaded from ftp. Maybe when other user downloaded the file, they required password to open the file/folder.

Change the permissions on the file.
Read/write for you, read for people in your user group (probably just you), and nothing for everyone else. That's 0640 if you need the number.

but the prob is the administrator or other people who hav the rights will be able to download the file. I am not the administrator of the ftp and i dun hav the rights to change the user group.
The ftp server is belongs to my client. I only hav access to the ftp to upload n download files. Therefore i need a solution to prevent people to open the files even they manage to download it. However the files(html) would be able to display in browser. Is it doable ?
