As you might know, having Web pages not cached can be critical to Web development.
For some reason Firefox 1.5.0.4 suddenly started to cache pages while I had cache set to 0 MB for months. I don't remember having done anything just before that could be the trigger. Other browsers show the page as up to date. It is still set to 0, If I leave it blank Firefox overrites a 0. If I empty the cache then pages are up to date, but I can't empty it each time that I want to check live results - that's every 1 or 2 minutes. My ISP doesn't have a cache, so obviously Firefox is the cause. I tried upgrading to Firefox 2.0b1, repairing permissions, and rebooting Mac OS X 10.4.7, but it still does cache. What to do ? PS : not sure where to post this. |

you can always press shift when reloading. that is what I do most the time. Dunno about the problem though. Never disabled cache on mine, just set it low.

Thanks for that useful tip, it will do until I'm told a fix.
