Can anyone recommend good Forum Discussion Software.

Also, do you think forums will be around to stay?

Vbulletin is appreciated by many. SMF is free and has a large community. Open source software (phpbb, punbb, etc.) will be around for at least as long as you want it.

Thank you for your reply. Our developers said that they cannot support PhP or MySQL so I guess we cannot use Vbulletin. He said we could use Snitz (which looks very "microsofty") I am not sure if we need to use Snitz because we are on a .asp platform or what. Do you happen to have any other suggestions "in the same family" as Snitz?

What do you mean by very "microsofty". I checked out the Snitz website and the forum doesn't look very different than other forums. If you mean what it runs on, is your platform Microsoft?

Also, what do you mean by "in the same family"? What does your environment look like. Is it Windows/IIS (2K/IIS5 oor 2K3/IIS6?). Does your ASP platform include ASP.NET? Can you use a database or not, and if so what kind.
