my problem is that when i run awstats.pl i get
Error: Couldn't open server log file "/var/log/httpd/mylog.log" : No such file or directory Setup ('/etc/awstats/awstats.www.freepatentsonline.com.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong. Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory) |

hey man, have you checked all paths are correct m8???????? check your httpd.conf file to make sure that your access logs are being written to that location (/var/log/httpd/mylog.log) and that the name of the file is correct (mylog.log) Check your /etc/awstats/awstats.www.freepatentsonline.com.conf file for the line; LogFile="/var/log/httpd/mylog.log" make sure it is illustrated as above!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If all is as it should be, you might want to change the location of where your log file gets written to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try putting it in your web server dir (i had to do this once with apache2 on windows) it seems that awstats wouldnt read the logfile if it was not in the "/htdocs/" directory. Permissions problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! try it out, if you change the dir to where your log file gets written to in httpd.conf, then change the path in your awstats.conf file to reflect that location. Sorry if it seems confusing! |
