Hi,
Can anyone point me to a resource which helps understand the basics of Linux Packaging and Appliance Configuration using RPM over RHN (Red Hat Network).

I want to know the difference between package and appliance and the way one configures the parameters for the same.

I have to build a linux appliance for installing a software on a web proxy server. How do I go about it?
