Looking for a development software for blogging

I have been looking at wordpress multi-user but there is basically not documentation and support on it. The program is not even in the beta stage yet. So any idea on what is better between plogworld.net, nucleuscms.org, and blogcms.com? What I basically want is a development program that will allow me to manage a blogging community on my own webserver for multi-user. Any idea, suggestion, or review on different development software for blog software is much appreciated.
