Pseudo payment gateway for charge-on-delivery (COD) items?
Hi all!
My experience:
I'm a web designer, been freelancing full-time for 3 years.
The situation:
I have a client with a brick&morter dessert shop. Via her website, she wants to sell ~30 different items, each with different (selectable) flavors. For example: the Truffles page has a drop-down menu for the flavors coffee, cherry, and hazelnut.
The kicker:
Client does not want to accept payments online. No credit cards, no SSL, not even Paypal payments. The only way client accepts payment is by self-delivering her products and charging on delivery.
Client essentially needs:
A CMS (or Paypal integration perhaps? is there a way of doing this?) which emails my client when an order is placed -- with the items, quantities, and customer information. The CMS should also sends a confirmation email to her customer. A receipt or unique transaction ID is not necessary.
Client essentially needs a way of collecting orders for "free" products.
So...
What are your ideas, fellow developers? Thanks for helping a comrade out...

Any server side language will allow you to generate and send an E-Mail pretty easily. You don't need a framework or an external service to do this.

PHP, ASP, didn't matter. Decided to go with OpenCart. I've got it installed alongside Wordpress with no problems.
