Simple Question About CVS...
Hi,
I just started work at a new company.
At my last job we used CVS and I'd like to set it up here for all the usual reasons such as ensuring that all developers are working on the same files, and that they don't overwrite each other's changes.
But I didn't manage the CVS server in my last job so I'm going to have to work it all out from scratch. And I'm a little confused over some aspects.
If there are several websites that are being developed, then what happens during a branch release? Would the CVS module have to be checked out to a local machine and then uploaded to the Internet (different server) from that machine?
Or is CVS only usable if all of the websites that we are developing are hosted on our own single server?
