Question about Websphere Express?
Hello,
We are a small company who would like to build a website on the IBM commerce platform for small businesses, Websphere Express.
We are a little puzzled as to what we would need to purchase. Do we need to buy the $20,000 server or do we only buy the user license? Does the server reside at the hosting company, or with us? Are there any companies that offer an on-demand solution based on IBM Websphere?
Once we purchase it, how do we set it up in the most cost effective way? We can't afford to hire a company and spend $20,000 on implementation. Would we be able to manage it out of the box? What kind of skills are needed to set up the store and the payment processing? Would someone who is technically adept with some HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Photoshop experience be able to manage setting up the site, or do we need a heavy-duty developer?
And finally, if we need a developer's help, do you know anyone that we could work with who wouldn't cost us thousands upon thousands?
Thank you!
AJ
