Recommend a good PHP/MySQL CMS?

I'm in the process of updating my Army unit's website ( (URL address blocked: See forum rules) ). Basically I'm looking for a good CMS that will allow for easy editing, sub categories and hopefully integration with SMF?

Is Joomla too much for this? Is there a better alternative?

Thanks

I've never worked with SMF unfortunately, but have a look at this link, it lists off all the main open source CMS systems available. Have a quick read through their readme's and FAQ's and you should find one to suit.

Are you looking only for open source CMS? We have a commerce PHP/MySQL CMS with wide features of web integration. So it’s really easy to integrate into your website whatever what you want with it If it’s interesting to you look at Site Sapiens CMS

You can always use PHP-Fusion, personally I hate it, but it's still pretty good. Or TYPO3. I think it costs though.
