Suggestions for a CMS for a non-profit website???
I'm webmastering for a non-profit company that deals with children's education. At this time we are using Google Apps to share documents, calendar events, and to give teachers and coordinators a company email.
We are also using a Simple Machines Forum to post announcements, communicate within the company, post lessons and charts, and post videos and video instructionals.
In addition to this, the company's president has a stylish Wordpress Blog with an original theme (prettier than the forums) in which she posts her own training videos, updates, stories, life experiences, etc. with the other people in the company.
And lastly, we are using Dadabik, a database interface, to input, store, and calculate student's scores as they move through our lessons to keep track of each student's improvement.
As you can see, it can get very complicated for the teachers and coordinators to use all these different programs and to remember their logins for each, etc, etc, especially if they are not computer savvy.
I would like to find one CMS that can incorporate all these elements with a single, organized start page and the member only has to login one time to access everything. And the whole thing has a single theme.
If anyone can post some recommendations or suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

Oh! We also have just a normal website with company information. So that's 5 elements.

so lets see you want a forum, a blog, a static site(or CMS), document sharing, event management, and custom addons (the grading part). The easiest and most cost effective thing to do would be to take a well known blog script such as wordpress, a cms such as joomla, a forum smf or phpbb pr such, bridge them together, and then add some custom modules, I doubt you will find all the stuff you want within 1 CMS

nuBuilder may do most of what you want, not blog or forums though.
You can give teachers different access level logins and store and search for data.
Its a database tool so its got a learning curve, but if you want something specialised, this is the quickest way to do it.

I'm partial to Wordpress since I've been using it for years as static sites, blogs, membership sites, etc...
based on what I've read, you should be able to do most of what you want from wordpress.
There's a simple wordpress forum plugin, but I personally prefer to tie a regular forum to wordpress (you can tie the login info together fairly painlessly).
With that said though, it's my understanding that Joomla is better at community development, but I've never actually put together a site in Joomla.
Everything I've ever needed could be done in Wordpress, and the development is progressing forward with the development team, and tons of support to help figure out problems.

yeah, the key with wordpress is that it is so popular, all the major functionality most people would want is available as some sort of plugin.
you can also look into joomla, which is another good CMS.
