Or is there any other simple source control system?
i am just starting out on my first enterprise project

Heres a list of freely available ones.

Googles got a large number of tutorials listed.

O'Reilly have a good book, Essential CVS ,you may want to look at.

If you're starting out on your first version control, you may want to try Subversion. It's similar to CVS but more modern. SVN is widely used now, and if you're on windows, you have TortoiseSVN for a GUI.
