Website consolidation [HELP!!!]
Hi Guys,
A client requires the consolidation of 50+ websites which all share similiar coding, connectivity and styling. The end user will only be able to view his or her own data and custom styling is required for each individual user accessing the system.
Currently, if a change is required to be made to the website (ie. Change of DB connectivity) then all the 50 webpages containing that information must be updated. This is a long and tedious process at present, which carries great resource time overheads.
It has been specified that the end deliverable must be designed in JSP following the Strutts framework.
Is there any Open Source / GNU licensed product available to us that will help solve this issue?
I have looked at various content management system written in jsp and I am currently testing the functionality and flexibility of the code (ie Expresso by JCorp -http://www.javacorporate.com/expresso/, Magnolia etc). I would be interested in knowing whethere there are similiar users out there who have been in similiar situations and what solutions they have deployed to resolve the situation.
Thanks in advanced,
Imran
