Website development language
I want to have 2 websites developed
1.one to showcase all my work (i am a clothing designer) 2.the second website is a forum -something like a non profit voluntary forum for women. When i ask a builder to build a website what coding language ( IPB, SQL and PHP )should I be looking for that will be suitable for all web appications What software is good for these websites- one solely for prospective employers to look at , the other a forum for women. Thank you

If the website is to be dynamic then the most common scripting languages are PHP and ASP.NET
PHP is free and more popular. You would also need a database such as MySQL, which is also free and very popular. As for forums, vBulletin is probably one of the biggest and best - Devshed is a vBulletin forum. Another popular forum that is cheaper is IPB (Invision Power Board).
